Magic leg muscles!
This 'stocky' late fifties rider has re-discovered the ability to conquer the ascents of the rural Chiltern Hills thanks to the Gtech escent mountain bike. So far impressed with the battery duration, used mainly on the ECO setting. Only used MAX for really steep climbs....all achieved without too much effort. The bike is light enough to handle easily on road and off. Not the cheapest mid-range electric mountain bike out there, but you get what you pay for. The components are good quality and robust. This bike is well designed and well put together. No comparison to seemingly 'more powerful' cheaper imports (yes, I know that it's assembled in the far east, but it's a British design).
