A decent solar garden light
I was sceptical about the claims of this product but can say for the most part they live up to their description. First of all I left the unit sitting on the window sill for 2 days to get the batteries fully charge. Then put them in position and set the to option 3 - more about options later. That evening I was pleasantly surprised to see the brightness emitted form the LED's on full power. It was more than sufficient to sit out in the dark and the area of our garden was well illuminated. On fa full charge the power output on full power was about 5 hours. So I left them set but was really disappointed the next night when after a day charging, albeit low solar light they only lasted for about 90 minutes. So again i left them on charge throughout the day but switched from option 3 (on all the time at full power) to option 2 low power but using the PIR to detect movement in which case they switch to full power for about 20 seconds before switching back to low power. They stayed active (on low and full power if PIR tripped) now for about 7 hours so am pleased with this. So the options which are not explained particularly well in the instructions ....imo. So after charging press and hold the on/off button to select option 1 which is light off and only active when movement is detected. Option 2 constantly on low power but when PIR detects movement they switch to full power for about 20 seconds before switching back to low power. Option 3 constantly on full power PIR inactive. Great product !
For a small unit, these 100 Led lights are amazing, i've used 3 in a fairly large back yard and they light the area up like daytime ! They also have movement sensors so as not to drain battery or if you prefer, you can set once dark, a permenant reduced light that stays on as long as its dark .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

they really are quite good !
Very surprised at how good they actually are, the other 5* reviews are correct. These are really great as motion detecting security lights, very bright and charge even in cloudy weather. I'll definitely be getting a few more of these as they are so good. I've used mine above the doors on my two sheds and even my two little dogs (pug & miniature dachshund) set the motion detectors off when running around the garden. ten outta ten for these, hopefully they'll last, only time will tell but they do feel well made.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Perfect!
I bought two of these to light up a path at the side of our home, one for the front and one for back, as it can be daunting having to go there at night! These are great! They sense my movement well before I reach the dark areas and light up very bright. They also catch animal movement too, so you know if anyone or anything has triggered them! I was concerned they wouldn’t charge fully as I’ve place them in an area that doesn’t get sunlight most of the time but I’ve had no issue with that, although mine are set to stay off unless triggered by movement. For the amount of LED's the solar panel ...
