  • Worth the extra.

This timing light has the two stroke setting which I presume is to give an accurate rpm readout. The detachable and replaceable lead will be a necessary feature when I get it tangled with the engine workings, as I invariably do.

  • Useful tool.

Only used it once so far to check/adjust the ignition timing on my 1962 Morris Minor. Used the car's battery for power, it is positive earth and there were no issues because of that. The leads are just long enough to reach underneath the car, when connected. That's where the timing marks are on this particular engine! A bright light, switched on using the trigger. The display powers as soon as the clips are connected to the battery. It's at 4 stroke and r.p.m. by default. The advance check function is good. The reasons for dropping a star are 1. the r.p.m. display fluctuates and I know the engine speed doesn't, not by a 1000 r.p.m.. 2. Why the glossy black plastic finish? Matt black would be better and maybe textured in some way. Two things I initially got wrong, I didn't zero the advance number (it is in the manual to do so before use). Make sure the arrow on the h.t. lead clip is towards the sparkplug too! On the whole, and to date, very good result.

  • engine timming

great bit of kit well made and easy to use even if you've not timed the ignition on an engine before giving excellent results.

  • Best timing gun I’ve used

Very easy to use and accurate, the gun was used to set up a rebuilt engine and finally the unit was put on a rollers and found to be spot on. You could tune your engine with this piece of kit and save yourself a fortune on rolling road bills. Makes sense go £50

  • Excellent product which made tuning the engine on my 1973 Beetle very easy

  • Accuspark Timing Light with Rev counter

Great tool works really well love the Rev counter function saves having to hook up separate rev counter when engine tuning. Cables could do with being a bit longer. Works just as well as a very expensive Snap-On Timing light

  • Strong, robust, intuitive tool, can't recommend highly enough.

Good points: Well built, solid. Was impressed with the weight and robustness - though it looks plasticky, it feels strong. Light is plenty bright enough even outdoors in bright conditions. Light beam is narrow enough to use gun from 1/2 m away from marks in bright light or 1m away in the garage. Simple to use, don't really need to read the instructions. So much easier than a non-digital gun. No more trying to guess the advance you have dialled in by estimating the distance from timing marks. Easy measurement of advance. Easy to forget that it defaults to 10 degrees when you're used to a standard gun. Also found the rev counter really useful when setting sensitive DCOE carb mixtures. Got a more accurate setup than when using ears alone and equivalent to an analogue rev counter. Would highly recommend this product

  • Perfect For Using On Older Cars.

Those of us who worked in the garage trade before the advent of E.C.U.s, engine management systems and other electronic gadgets will surely have used a timing gun like this. As I restore old cars this helps me set the timing far more accurately than the "static" method usually suggested by the manufacturers and the result is a quicker, more responsive and more economical engine. A very useful tool!

  • Timing strobe

It looks very good for the money. I've not used as yet but instructions read easily enough.
