This particular variant has the 1-2-3 slice selector which is super handy for single toasties or one-slicers. Three really makes sense and the saved space from a four is worth it. In fact it takes up little more room than the two slice unit it replaced. Very stylish, rugged, reliable and most importantly for any toaster - consistent. No gimmicks, just quick even toast. This is my second Dualit Classic in 25 years - beautiful to look at. Pro - you now have Eco settings which gives you the ability to toast 1,2 or 3 slices. Con - all slots are the same size. Fine if you want to toast a sandwich but not a single slice. The slice just falls sideways resulting in uneven toasting. Annoying, that’s why I have rated with 3 stars.
