I recently shampooed 3 downstairs carpets. The weather was dry, sunny but cool. I switched on the machine and set it for 4 hours. It collected 900ml of water and the carpets were very nearly dry. Always keep doors and windows closed when using, otherwise you'll be paying to dry your neighbours' washing. Do not use as a substitute for natural ventilation through open doors and windows.
