A New Era Of Fungus & His Family
A completely different version from the Martin Clunes "Fungus The Bogeyman" but nevertheless very entertaining, with the new version staring Timothy Spall as Fungus, you get the chance of going back into story passed and how Fungus came about from his father "Bilge the Impure" though if you have watched the previous version of "Fungus The Bogeyman" you will notice at lot of difference's as the first "Fungus The Bogeyman" was computer generated but all in all still very entertaining. But if your a massive "Fungus The Bogeyman" fan the story line will not interfere with what is going on, you just get another view to the life of Fungus and his family. The only drawback I found in the new version Fungus did not have a daughter just a son, so that was a little confusing which I think may of been an Error from the makers of this new version. Though it didn't spoil it for me since they added a twist to it with the fantastic Victoria Wood playing her part in it which with wisdom of acting made it that more special to watch. Marc Warren I have to take my cap of too for a great part in all this who befriends what he thinks is a stranger from a far away land which is merely right underneath his own feet, Jonanna Scanlan what an actress she was made for this drama perfect in every way, so really your best watching it and making your own assumptions on it compared to the other "Fungus The Bogeyman" drama, but at 54 years old I'm a massive "Fungus The Bogeyman" fan, there's a hidden "Fungus The Bogeyman" in all of us.....

Laugh out loud entertainment
I bought the book as my Son’s teacher had been reading it to his class and I thought I’d get this as a visual aid. We have never seen this version of Fungus the Bogeyman and on watching it as a family have found it laugh out loud entertaining. What a great buy. Very funny and a lasting tribute to Victoria Wood.
Excellent, extremely funny, well acted, a joy to watch. Only bug bear is that it is in three separate parts with spaces for advert breaks on TV. I would love to have watched it seamlessly from start to finish but that is not how it was made. Shame.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
