The Samsung Galaxy S6 was revealed to the world around the 1st March 2015, since then it has been surpassed via the Galaxy S7 and S8. I do like buying the older flagships models as these phones have been tried and tested via the public under many situations and most of the time I can't afford the newest releases. Furthermore, I don't think there is much between the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S8, apart from the S6 does not allow for an SD-Card feature, shame, I'd have to say, however, this didn't put me off buying. The Galaxy S6 does have a gasket over the internal PCB, which helps to waterproof the device under certain situations, although for a short period of time and only for the protection against weather and accidentally drop into a bath or kitchen sink. The battery life can only last for a few hours of heavy usage, although, nothing is stopping you from buying a portable charger. The screen as an awesome super sharp display that helps to make the colours pop, It also has 3GB of Ram and a snappy, smooth operating feeling to the device.Read full review

I bought this model to upgrade from a S4 mini. At first sight the phone was immaculate and worked fine for a few days, although it wasn't long before there was interference and my calls were being dropped constantly. Shortly after that I noticed that the phone would get red hot to the point I was scared it was going to start a fire. Last but not least the battery life was non existent. After being in my bag all morning (4 hours) whilst I was at work the battery would go from 80% to 0%. I ended this nightmare by purchasing a brand new one and haven't had any problems at all with it.

A great phone, easy to operate and handle and the perfect size. The only down side is the battery. It runs down quickly and needs to be recharged often. A good range of accessories are available.

As a Samsung user I was looking for a newer model with more storage. This is slightly larger than my S4 but easy to handle. Everything transferred over quickly from old handset to new with no issues. The only thing holding me back for a couple of days was waiting for my supplier to send me a nano sim once installed I was up and running. It's quicker on response times battery life appears to be OK a few niggles on deleting my emails not as easy as my S4 but not everyone uses their phones for email. Great camera and features built in, love that you just have to press the home button twice to open up the camera. Flashlight built in without the need for separate app. All in all very pleased with my purchase.

Pro's: Great Camera and screen, phone looks good. Takes great photos. Battery life is acceptable and fast charging feature makes up for this. Good balanced interface and all previously used apps work with this phone too. Cons: This phone can just about be held in one hand so any small hands will struggle. Also you will struggle with small coat pockets. Other only negative is camera lens protrudes with the S6. Generally a lovely phone. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent phone, I have the S6 Edge & just bought this for my husband along with a Galaxy Tablet. He loves both & is getting better every day he uses them at steering his way round the Android platforms. We are both in our mid-sixties so I think we are pretty good at managing the new "Tech Age" we live in now. The S6 phones are very intuitive to set up & use after you download the instruction booklet off the Samsung Website, the Camera is excellent and although the battery could do with lasting longer it is practical as I only have to charge it every two days with normal usage & every three to four days with moderate usage. It does everything we need it to do whilst looking good enough to impress our granddaughter who of course is already Tech-savvy at nine!

Unlike other phones i have had this one starts very quickly and doesn't take ages to load up. The screen is bright and clear. I like the feature on the phone that lets you save battery by alerting you to things that you can switch off or put to sleep. The set up is very easy so you can have the font and backgrounds customised. There is a data saving feature that only connects if there is a wifi connection. The picture quality from the camera is excellent. The finger print security is a bit hit and miss but you can put the pin code of your choice on to it as backup. I have found I need to charge the phone every day but the quick charge means it takes less than an hour to fully charge.

The phone works perfectly, I cannot see the point of paying 5 or 6 times the price I paid just for the "bragging rights" of having the latest Samsung. By the time of the S6 release there is little to truly improve and would be a waste of money IMO. Thankfully the many latest version buyers allow the rest of us to own immaculate used phones for very little money, bless them.

Over been using Samsung for about 5 years now. Used the s5 for about 3 years till it died recently. The s6 is a huge improvement. Camera is 100 times better and it feels like an expensive high quality phone. Downside is that you can no longer expand the memory and you can no longer change yhe battery out.

I love the gold colour and it is fast! It takes good photos during daylight hours but no so good in lower light but better than my old HTC M8. Overall I like the phone and I may well stick to Samsung now and one day upgrade to a Samsung phone rather than go back to HTC.
