Product Information
Bruce Beresford's film stars Lothaire Bluteau as a young Jesuit priest in 17th century Quebec, sent with his young assistant Aden Young into the wilds to find and convert the Huron Indians, not realising they are cast in the role of pathfinders for following colonialists who would have little time for the Native Americans, converted or not. The film unsparingly shows the hardships suffered by the two men as their faith is put to the test but also the softer moments, when they and the Indians connect simply as human beings.Product Identifiers
