The SLX CN-M7100 offers a better retention system thanks to the larger section of the internal plate. It also features the Quick-Link mounting system and Sil-Tec treatment for greater durability and efficiency. The revamped HG chain features a longer inner link that connects seamlessly to the new chainring profile (tooth profile) for ultra-efficient drivetrain performance. This design reduces vibrations normally caused by the passage of the internal and external links on the chainring and provides better chain engagement, greater retention and a smoother ride. Shimano low-friction surface treatment for superior chain life. The Sil-Tec treatment is more efficient than a standard coating: it is an advanced process that increases performance thanks to the incorporation of fluorine particles.
