We love these, they look so real and the effect is so realistic, would have been 5 stars, however the set we have eats batteries. The first set of non rechargeable batteries only lasted a few days. We have now purchased some rechargeable batteries so not an issue, apart from the expense of doing so. I bought a set of these candles a month ago and was so impressed that I bought two more. Being able to switch them on and off using the remote seemed like a gimmick, but now they're spread around the room, it's proved to be really helpful; the same remote operates them all at once. The latest ones are different to the first set in that they have the appearance of a 'naked' candle rather than being in a glass holder.
