6 months to break even on 6 radiators.
I needed room by room temperature control for our oil fired central heating. Initially, I fitted standard TRVs. These worked ok but in practice I didn't want to run around the house setting a temperature appropriate to the time of day; eg. sitting room cosy (23C) from 6pm to 1030pm but a background warmth of 16C the rest of the time. Great for making sure you only heat the parts of the house you're actually. Remote control via the internet means I can crank up the heating from anywhere if the BBC says there's a cold spell coming - great for winter holiday peace of mind. In summary - effective way to set a seperate temperature schedule for each room makes for greater comfort and less cost.
