The arcade-style offshoot of Microsoft Studios' long-running racing series heads to Southern Europe as players speed around an open-world re-creation of the French and Italian Riviera in Forza Horizon 2. Gamers can climb behind the wheel of more than 200 vehicles, from supercars like the 2015 Lamborghini Huracain and the 2011 McLaren 12C to more utilitarian offerings like the 2013 Ram Runner truck and the classic 1963 Volkswagen Camper bus, and once again compete in the fictional mix of music and racing known as the Horizon Festival. The world of Forza Horizon 2 is designed to be roughly three times as large as that of its predecessor, with far more off-road opportunities thanks to the ability to weave through dense forests, smash through backcountry fences, and plow through vineyards. Realistic weather and day and night cycles greet players as they seamlessly explore the world, jumping from solo racing to online play instantly, and competing in a variety of races, events, and skill competitions. Stick with the XBONE version.
Forza Horizon 2 on 360 is a weird one. Straight away I noticed that the cars and tracks (grass etc) were not as good as the first, but it's still fun. I didn't feel the rush I did when I played the first but It's still fun to play. Its hard to explain but part of the problem I think is the new map, it feels too closed in in the city parts. The graphics whilst still amazing to look at, inside the cars and out felt like nothing new. In all honesty it felt like I was playing FH1 but an expansion, like a downloadable city added on. This was FH 1.5 not a true sequel and I'm beginning to think that the Xbox one version of FH2 is the true sequel.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
