Discovery 3 wouldn't go into reverse and other gears were sloppy....
After spending nearly £700 trying to avoid a new gear box, our Landrover discovery 3 still had an issue going into reverse. After a bit of googling we discovered that the circlip was the possible (and most likely) cause. Our garage replaced it with a generic one....which broke after 2 weeks! I ordered this one and the difference is abundant, this one is as strong as the rest of the landrover is built to be and completely up to the job. It can be replaced without the gearbox being removed and therefore shouldn't cost more than an hours work to get it done. Don't let your garage tell you that you need a new gearbox, this little clip is all you need!!! Happy motoring :-)
