Jaws are straight rather than curved as on my last trap giving a narrower 'arch' for the mole to enter, also the trigger mechanism is different. Highly effective and simple trap - caught a mole 1st day!
Excellent! I caught a mole on the 1st day and another on the 3rd day - no more mole hills since! This product has certainly done the job as described very quickly and efficiently. I would add that you need to be careful setting the trap to ensure your own fingers are safe - do this by setting the trigger ring from underneath the trap - common sense really. Just dig in the mole hill with a trowel to find the burrow and place the trap at a height where you judge the mole will appear - then replace a bit of soil/grass lightly and cover with a flower pot or bucket to keep out the light (and to make it more visible to avoid trip hazards). Then go back in the morning - not oo early, say 10am - and you should have caught a mole. It may take a few attempts to find a currently in use burrow but obviously start at the most recent mole hill as a good bet. Good Luck!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Need to be set correctly

Works A treat
Caught my first mole after trying several humane items available on the market without success. I suggest you wear gloves and try to leave the tunnel as natural looking as possible. Flatten the earth in the tunnel and carefully cover the hole back up. I saw clips on you tube first which helped. The mole was literally destroying my lawn, Eight massive mounds in three days. I had tried a solar device (crap) smoke bombs (they come back after the smoke has gone). Read why it is not advised to use the traps that catch them live as moles are very territorial and will be attacked if released in a different mole zone. It also against the countryside rules.
