An Hand eines Krankengutes von 422 klinisch beobachteten Patienten mit Glioblastomen wird die Semiologie dieses boesartigsten Hirntumors ana- lysiert. Es ergibt sich, dass Glioblastome beim mannlichen Geschlecht haufiger (60,6%) als beim weiblichen (39,4%) vorkommen. Sie finden sich in jedem Lebensalter, bevorzugen aber die 5. und 6. Lebensdekade. Sie sitzen haufiger in der dominanten als in der nicht dominanten Grosshirn- hemisphare. Glioblastome des Balkens und der Stammganglien sind viel seltener als Glioblastome der Grosshirnhemispharen. Lieblingslokalisationen sind das Stirn- und Schlafenhirn, gefolgt vom Occipitallappen. Die Krank- heitsentwicklung verlauft bei der grossen Mehrzahl der Patienten rasch und fuhrt 2 bis 3 Monate nach Beginn zur Behandlung. Die Symptomatologie wird vorwiegend von Kopfschmerzen, psychischen Veranderungen im Sinne eines organischen Psychosyndroms und Lahmungen beherrscht. Ausserdem spielt die symptomatische Epilepsie eine wichtige Rolle. Stauungspapillen finden sich nicht ganz bei der Halfte der Patienten. Die Blutsenkungs- geschwindigkeit war in einem Drittel der Falle erhoeht. Summary By means of records of 422 clinically observed patients with glioblastomas the semeiology of these malignant tumours was analysed. This analysis showed that males were affected more commonly (60,6%) than females (39,4%). They occur in all age groups but especially in the 5th and 6th decades. They aremorefrequent in the dominant hemisphere than in the non-dominant one. Glioblastomas of the brain stem and the basal ganglia are much rarer than in the cerebral hemi- spheres.
