Good if somewhat lengthy read. Well written.
I'm enjoying this series, giving insights into the Wars of the Roses. It is written in the style of the late Sharon Penman who also covered the same period. Sometimes it is a little on the lengthy side and the author confuses sometimes by using a characters title and sometimes his name. With such a large cast of characters, sometimes l lose track of who is a goodie and who is a baddie. Nonethe less, it is well written and as I'm only halfway through the second of four volumes, I'll have plenty to keep me occupied during the long winter nights.

A Gripping View of our History
I'm still reading this, but find it makes a very good job of giving character to the numerous players who caused and fought in the Wars of The Roses. Book one provided excellent background. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
