About this product

Product Information

Colonel Chris Hadfield has spent decades training as an astronaut and has logged nearly 4,000 hours in space. During this time he has broken into a Space Station with a Swiss army knife, disposed of a live snake while piloting a plane, been temporarily blinded while clinging to the exterior of an orbiting spacecraft, and become a YouTube sensation with his performance of David Bowie's 'Space Oddity' in space. The secret to Chris Hadfield's success - and survival - is an unconventional philosophy he learned at NASA: prepare for the worst - and enjoy every moment of it. In his book, An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth, Chris Hadfield takes readers deep into his years of training and space exploration to show how to make the impossible possible.

  • An excellent, easy read!

I would highly recommend this book. Chris Hadfield has a very readable style of writing. His story is fascinating and reveals so many little known facts about space travel and particularly about an astronaut's years of intensive training. He has self deprecating humour and many wise observations about life in general.

  • A very good book, for a very good price!

This book is a very intriguing read. The writing is quite formal but not enough to make it sound like a documentary book. This glides into the realm of what the experience is like training, experiencing and working in the curious depths of space. A very good read for anyone interested in space, success or journey's through life. Definitely worth the price, if not, more!
