Teflon Tony, it almost sounds like a creation of Harry Enfield. If only that was the truth. After the previous sleaze of the Major Government, we all sought refuge in the care of a Labour Government. What we got was more akin to American Politics. This book tries to peel away the Spin to reveal the truth behind the facade. The trouble is that without that facade, there isn't much left to reveal. The authors do a good job of seeking to explain the Blair phenomonom, something Tony Blair himself has tried to do elsewhere. There are some very interesting revelations as to the thought processes involved in his decision making. I'm not going to spoil it for you, suffice to say that the authors are definitely not seeking to portray him as either a saint or a demon. Possibly more mad than bad, but that may just be my own interpretation. Well worth reading if you seek more insight than the usual media simplification.
