Really gripped by this book right from its opening pages. Certainly provides challenging food for thought for any body with an historical appetite and an open mind. Compelling evidence to back up a set of intriguing propositions and arguments about Britain's role in the 1914 lurch to war. Authoritive and convincing - the reader might disagree with what the writer puts forward but they must be prepared "to do battle" on a high level. This is no lightweight throwing together of tenuously linked facts & events but a well researched and convincingly argued treatise. A great read even if you don't accept the ideas put forward in this informative study.
