Brilliant - once I got it to work!!
Excellent bit of kit but note...the description and indeed the enclosed Goodmans documentation say it can be set up with a single LNB, and that all that means is you cannot video a different channel to that which you are watching. After spending nearly 6 hours trying to get it to work, I got hold of Goodmans who informed me that this model has to have 2 inputs - they refused to accept that their documentation could be wrong I sent them a screenshot of the paperwork - waiting to hear. Having said all that, if you have a twin LNB input, it is easy to set up and easy to operate and the picture quality exceeds that which I expected.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Waste of money
This product came with London area channels already on and 1st time installation impossible to obtain, with several interchangeable mails, No Way to phone Goodmans, managed to get it working after several days, but had several problems like, on scheduled recording sometimes it refused to find the signal even though if you click on that channel it is there, the box needs 5 to 8 presses of the on button to switch the set on, fast forwarding the recorded picture some times freezes the picture even though the recording is still moving ahead, when you make an incorrect or not permitted selection it sometimes loses the picture but not the sound and you have to unplug the set wait a few seconds and then plug back in an switch back on. All in all a totally unsatisfactory product in comparison with my previous Humax. Missing features include no auto choose switch off/on time or default to channel on switch on just a switch off after 4 hours mode, tried what I thought was an over ride option but it still turns off after 4 hours. All the features I had on my Humax no longer available, never buy cheap again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great box and easy to use.

Not a complicated machine, but does everything we need it to do.
As we are fairly elderly we did not want a complicated machine. We just wanted one that would record, pause, rewind, go forward and be able to set serial recordings,and easy to delete recordings once viewed. Easy to use. Much better than virgin Xbox. I like the record and change channel system. You can plan your whole evenings viewing and it changes channel for you. I like the record whole series function too. Truly a great product. It uses less electricity than a virgin Xbox also.
