I have been using test strips for a while because I thought they weren't really that much better than a test kit , but after talking to a friend I was persuaded to try this one . After the first test I found out that my ammonia wasn't as high as the test strips said and that my nitrite and nitrite were low and not high . Using the kit did feel a bit like being back at my old school science class a class that I thought I would never need to use anything I learned in real life after leaving school but I guess I was wrong lol the only thing I would say is that it doesn't say alot on the gh and kh but as long as it stays consistent in my tank I guess I won't worry about it too much . This is also good value for the price as I get 200 tests as aposed to 25 with test strips will definitely be buying more in the future and recommending to anyone who will listen.Read full review

The kit comes with a chart for keeping records of your water tests. The chart includes a good explanation of the different test. Overall a good kit for not a lot if money!
