quick release leaks !!
Nice looking tap and works just fine until you connect a hose to it , but then it leaks, tried several different hose connectors that I had, also went and bought a hozelock connector which also leaked. Went and bought a Flopro connector also leaked. In the end I had to heat up the hose pipe and push it on to the tap directly and secure with a hose clip. Straight water butt tap
The designers of this tap just got it wrong. It works fine as a tap but the Hozelok connection is useless. I have 5 of these taps and they all leak at the Hozelok joint. A slightly larger o-ring helps to make a seal but even then it is not reliable. This is a design failure and not the seller's fault.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The product is good. The installation is difficult if using a large barrel, (955mm deep) as you will need help to handle both ends of the tap to tighten up the securing nut. I had to cut a piece off one end of the butterfly handle as it fouled on the barrel wall when opening the tap. Fantastic value replacement plastic tap
Needed a tap for a 200 litre water barrel on my allotment because I could only get water out by submerging a watering can. The tap is well made, comes with rubber washers and a locking nut.
