Fantastic braid cutters !
I was a bit sceptical of another company that claimed that their cutters would cut braid of all types cleanly and without fraying every time . I have bought quite a few braid scissors over the years and they have mostly been extremely disappointing and some completely useless. Enter the Ridge-monkey braid scissors. I took a gamble after reading all the glowing reviews and it has paid off big time , they even cut ultra thin silky braid with an absolutely perfect clean cut not leaving a single strand uncut and like a hot knife through butter , and they glow in the dark , what more could you ask for . Brilliant cutters and far better than any others I've bought.
I'm always suspicious about scissors for braid as most are pretty useless especially when you leave the material to be cut hang limp. You end up with frayed bit hanging off and the result is usually a rig that looks tatty. I'd seen these in a video and they looked quite promising so my purchase was in a sense a test to see just how good they are. So far I am very pleased with them albeit it is always better to try and keep the material tight whilst cutting it, but that applies to most materials and cutting instruments. I've tested them on a variety of hooklink materials and the worst of them to cut clean is a Kryston product called Supa-Nova because it's made up of so many finer lines. However, even with this it cut through very cleanly if held tight so top marks for this cutter! The only other cutter I have like that is an electric hot wire cutter made by Berkley that works every time. To sum up therefore, I am well pleased with these and hope and trust they will remains good cutters.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
