Great piece of kit to keep up your dental hygiene
Suffering from arthritis in many joints including my hands I could not floss my teeth with the usual flossing materials so used the bow type flowers. However I had been looking at various electric flowers. My dentist recommended one but I bought the wrong one by mistake. After telling her I took her advice she pointed out it wasn't the one she meant. So I looked on line for the right one. This was the waterpik wp560uk. It has a larger fluid container and three speed liquid flow. I use a mouthwash mix with water. It makes my mouth feel really clean and refreshed. Does the job in two goes, really noisy, useful if you don't have a shaver outlet for countertop version.
This review is for the Waterpik Ultra Cordless. I bought this as a replacement to my countertop waterpik which I've had for a number of years and been happy with apart from the hideous noise it makes. How such a small motor makes such an awful noise I don't know. Anyhow, I've had a couple of implants for new teeth and part of the recovery is that you keep your mouth scrupulously clean to avoid the possibility of any infection. I decided to buy the mobile version of the waterpik so I could thoroughly clean my mouth after lunch at work and on holiday following the implant procedure. The noise is even worse with this mobile unit. I used it once but the noise and the fact that the water chamber empties quite quickly put me off. It's been put on back on ebay and I'll stick to the countertop which takes up the same amount of space in my suitcase as the Waterpik Ultra cordless!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Effective at Giving a Fresh and Clean Feel
So far it seems to work very well. My dentist recommended me to get one, and I did not expect very much from it. However, it leaves my mouth feeling very clean and fresh. I use the water flosser with a mouthwash/lukewarm water mixture, followed by dental brushes and then regular toothbrush and toothpaste. Yes, it can be a bit messy, but quick to get used to. Not confident that the product will have longevity for the price (battery life?) Replacement heads are very much more expensive than can possibly be justified and this is a real irritation. The switch to alter the water flow speed from 1 to 2 is questionable - it does not click or move noticeably (a comment made by many reviewers so obviously not just me). Charge lasts me for two fills for 7 days, which is perfectly acceptable. Need to carefully dry the socket on the unit before recharging, so I guess this could be better designed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Portable, easy to use and works perfectly.
Waterpik is one of the better units on the market, I was a bit hesitant initially but when I used the item I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Recommendation! yes without a doubt good price and with a 2 year manufacturer guarantee it’s well worth it. Being a portable unit, I fill it up twice and use it and I can generally clean all my teeth and gums, the charge time is a bit long but once done it lasts for a good while before needing another charge.
