Help for an author.
Mike Covell has done some excellent research into the Maybrick family and the most controversial candidate for Jack The Ripper. The only disappointment was due to my own fault. I thought that the book was the story of James Maybrick, his family, the diary and some up-to-date research and opinion. It is actually mainly a collection of articles written at the time. Useful-yes, valuable for students of the subject-yes, helpful for someone about to write about Maybrick-yes. A book for reading cover to cover on the subject-not really.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
