Start a band of four in cooperative play or rock out solo through Rock Band 4's more than 60 included songs, featuring such artists as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Keith Urban, R.E.M., Foo Fighters, Van Halen, and more. The game also supports the 2,000+ songs released since the debut of the first Rock Band that will be added to the music store at regular intervals following the release of Rock Band 4. Players who purchased music for the previous games in the series on the PlayStation 3 can import their music to PlayStation 4 as it becomes available.<br><br>Rock Band 4's primary new mode is called Play A Show. When playing a show bandmates can vote on the set list, take crowd requests, and choose to play an encore. Go On Tour is the career mode where bands start out as a small hometown act and work their way through the game's story while meeting a variety of characters and making decisions that shape the future of the band. Through career progression players can receive new gear, clothing, and customization options. Users can also find additional hairstyles, facial hair, and special clothing at the Rock Shop.<br><br>New guitar, drum kits, and microphone accessories are available from Mad Catz for the PlayStation 4. Rock Band 4 PS4
Great game, great seller, arrived faster than expected. My only gripe with this game, and more so the games developer, Harmonix, is the limited time allowed for exporting disc songs from previous titles to this one. I have exported 1 and 3, but evidently I'll never be able to export the 2nd game, because the time to purchase the export key has long since expired. I contacted Harmonix and they essentially said it will never be available again, because that's just how it works in the music industry. I find it odd because there's no gain for anyone to put a time limit on it, I can't go out and buy a new copy of Rock Band 2, nor can I go buy a new PS3. In fact the only way I can give them more of my money is by buying an export key, and I can't. So because of that I have to keep my old PS3 on the shelf for when I want to play those songs, many of which I think are the best ones of the whole franchise. Harmonix really irks the hell out of me sometimes. I'd love to have the whole library on one console, but apparently consumer satisfaction isn't job #1 at Harmonix. Overall gameplay is good, playing the drums feels good, as good as any of the previous titles. I can't quantify what "good" is, it just feels right. Either way, if you can get past the lack of export ability, it's a solid game that provides countless replay hours if you enjoy it. A lot of my fellow musician friends like to poo poo it because they're not real instruments, but with a little imagination it feels like you're jamming along to your favorite songs. As far as drums go, playing on expert level definitely keeps you tight when it comes to speed, rolls, and overall rhythm. Rock Band is here to stay..
I am a 61 year "old lady" who loves Rock Band. It's the best medicine out there that's not in a brown bottle. Lol.... Seriously, please don't take it away. Here's hoping Harmonix reads this.. I cannot afford the DLC but I do have the drum kit, the key board and the guitars. The keyboard I can only play in RB 3 VIA Nintendo Wii. Fun game!
Brand new works great and great deal!! I haven’t played rock and before so I can’t compare it to others but I love this game. If you don’t have the guitar and plan on wanting it, I strongly recommend getting the game/guitar bundle... I bought them separate and it was much more expensive.
