    Heavy Steel Wedges doing an excellent job

    These heavy duty steel wedges are a must in any craftsman's tool box. They can fell trees, split wood logs, lift up 50 tonnes of weight, open up any gap without damaging the faces, level up two adjoining pieces of equipment, wedge and hold up machines during final grouting in position, move very heavy loads up to one inch. I have worked as a maintenance craftsman for fifty one years and been retired three years now when I go and find such a bargain. Get these wedges, I bought a pair as they complement each other and make a lovely couple. Highly recommend them and also the speedy service to get them to my house within one day. There is a negative and that is for the poor post lady who has to carry them, she said to me it is only small, but very heavy. Now who's been talking? Recommend these wedges - very useful. Make sure you wear safety glasses when hitting them with a fourteen pound hammer and get every person clear. Excellent Product and good value.

    Wedges - simple and long lasting.

    Not used it yet but the three I got are well finished, sharp and hefty - and a good length to penetrate the wood deeply. Working with the three will make splitting larger knot logs straightforward. MD

    Absolutely what you need to start the split.....

    Excellent tool in the traditional style. We are currently splitting baulks of willow of 12 " diameter and more, and it makes the crucial openings (we use hardwood wedges to help the process along thereafter).

    Having snapped 2 cast steel type wedges, when just outside the 12 month guarantee, i feel drop forged wedges are far more durable. Work them in pairs to avoid singles getting stuck.
