    Complex designs and quality paper

    Actually this is my second copy, I finished coloring everything in the old one which I'd bought elsewhere some time ago. The designs are quite intricate, sometimes almost a bit "too" complicated but very enjoyable to color and you can adapt them any way you want. I like to use black ink on some parts to make a sort of stained-glass window effect and that also makes the more "confusing" designs simpler to follow, but I do others without adapting them, or sometimes layer several colors where the designs intersect and overlie each other. The paper is good heavy quality, although it's always wise to put a sheet of paper or card-stock behind the design you're working on. I use colored pencils and any mistakes erase well. Since I use black gel ink for the accents, I think the heavy paper will take gel-pens for coloring--again, put something behind the page to be safe. The pages are perforated and remove easily--either to make coloring them simpler, or if you like to display your finished artwork. I'm tempted to order yet another copy to have when this one is used up!
