Really wanted to like this TV but the amplifier for onboard sound belongs in a mp3 player not a TV
Man , I really wanted to love this tv. 2 extremely important issues that make me wish I had bought a Sony Bravia. The sound on this thing is LOWWWWWWWWW even most of the way up. Its pathetic. It does have a sound setting called amplify ( cause even samsung knew the sound sucks ) and that brings it up a BIT . But even then on some netflix movies like one I watched last night I had to have it up to like 85-90 out of 100 to even hear it . Now this by itself wouldn't be enough for me to not like the TV . But the second issue made me regret buying this and if re-stocking fees wern't damn near 25% I would have returned this thing . THE RCA OUTPUT IS ACTIVE NOT PASSIVE !!! Meaning I cannot simultaneously use the RCA out to my home theater to supplement the incredibly weak on board sound . You have to actually switch the sound output in settings to use the RCA but then you cant use the onboard speakers. MY 2010 BOTTOM BARREL WALMART SONY BRAVIA 40" LCD KDL-40EX400 TV COULD PLAY BOTH ONBOARD AND RCA OUTPUTS !!! Which I only ever used the home theater for the added luxury . That sony from 2010 thats still bangin away today never actually NEEDED any supplemental sound . it was loud as hell . This samsung is not . AT ALL. For these 2 reasons I would not have purchased this tv. I couldnt imagine how mad people who bought this tv are that dont have a home stereo to supplement the again incredibly weak sound . This will be my first and last Samsung tv. Im even thinking of selling it already . Also samsung spies on your conversations and warns you to watch what you say in front of their tvs. And although I checked and to my knowledge this tv does not have voice control I think it is incredibly orwellian of samsung to disrespect their customers who just spent alot of money on their product spying on them just so they can sell the gleaned data to marketing companies.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good affordable TV
I mostly use this with my Apple TV and it's been great. Good quality picture even when there's motion. I'm particularly sensitive the motion blur that some LCD TV's have but I've never noticed anything on this set. Sounds is about what you'd expect for built in speakers -- OK but not great. Easy to program
