This extension cord is a simple way to separate the flash tube from the generator and capacitors. The extension attaches between the main unit and the head, and can use all types of head currently available for the AD200. The head end of the extension can be mounted on a cold shoe or a tripod stud. The construction feels solid. Both ends of the extension are quite bulky, and the cable is quite thick and stiff (which is probably a consequence of the high current requirements). This makes practically obligatory to attach the head to a tripod/stand/articulated arm. The main unit should also attached to a support via its tripod socket, to prevent it from accidentally falling to the floor while reorienting the head.
