Philips Senseo Coffee Pod Machine HD7870
This is a great coffe machine which makes really good coffee, quickly and easily and has nice touch controls, no switches or buttons. You have to connect the spout and drip tray but it's easy and the instructions are clear. Cup sizes can be from small to large with no problem and the Senseo coffe pods are reasonably priced. The pods are like tea bags rather than the capsules you get with other machines, easy to use and dispose of. Tescos is a good place to buy Senseo pods, £3.00 for packs of 18 or you can get Cafe Rene on line, which are also cheap but very good. All in all a good buy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cup Capacity Less than Original
All well and good but the cup capacity is well reduced from the original, probably about 20ml less, not that the coffe is any stronger, just less of it. Solved by a second run through to top up the cup.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

lovely coffee
My old senseo broke and this one is so much faster and easy to use. I like the digital display so you can choose the strength of coffee and one press of a button and it will automatically make the coffee once the water is not, you can get on with other things while it makes it. Perfect
Purchased this product recently after using one whilst in Europe. I had read the reviews and of course had some concerns. After flushing through as per instructions I had the perfect cup of coffee BUT the next cup did have the slight chlorine taste mentioned. I then flushed again and used filtered water (we already use Britax filter for the kettle due to tap water leaving a funny taste) this solved the problem instantly. The best yet
This is my fourth Senseo machine having worn out the others over the last 8 or more years. I stick to this make as it makes the best coffee and is very economical compared to other machines such as the Tasimo. The Twist may look quirky but it is a definite improvement on the conventional design of Senseo. The tank is easier to fill and it is quieter than the old machines while the touch controls give more control as you now have a choice of two strengths of coffee.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mixed Feelings
By and large I'm committed to this form of coffee preparation, but am not happy about one aspect which is that, over time, the machine delivers progressively less coffee, necessitating multiple applications of the start button.
