Kenmore Elite Pet Friendly Vacuum - Winner
I bought this vacuum because of the high ratings and the fact that it uses a HEPA filter and bags. I absolutely love this vacuum. It out performs every other vacuum I’ve owned that were priced much higher. I have very dense, thick wall to wall carpet and a Siberian Husky. Not an easy task keeping my floors clean. This vacuum delivers! It’s power is incredible. The suction is unbelievable and it glides across my carpet. The attachments work great with the telescopic extension wand. I just wish the hose was a bit longer and more flexible. The two motor system can’t be beat. I like the fact that I can switch the brush roll off and on depending on the surface I’m cleaning. Overall, this vacuum gets a two thumbs up! It’s a beast and a great value, especially if you can find this unit on eBay at a discounted price like I did. Hideously heavy.
Heavier than a Kirby. Hard to push. A real workout. No automatic carpet height adjustment. The Dirt Sensor is not very sensitive, it only lights up with 'easy to see' dirt. Powerfull enough, and no belts- the only good things.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great Vacuum
This was purchased for a client and upon receipt we noticed it pretty much looks new. It even still had the protective film on the Kenmore logo. The only thing that it needs is another extension and the wide floor brush like my older Kenmore vacuum. My wife loves this Kenmore 31150 vacuum as much as the 7-8 years old model who's motor went. If you're handy you can purchase replacement motors & replace them. We Tried, but failed ( should have used new motor). These have great suction & you have to Be careful have w low you set it for carpet because it's strong enough to pull itself forward. This also has a very long cord which in our older house is a big plus. Also has a HEPA filter that's cleanable. This vacuum cleaner is the best investment I have made. It is very maneuverable and all attachments are easily accessible for hooking onto vacuum hose. Not noisy and the light does have a useful purpose . Wide vacuuming path and almost glides itself . Best of all is how well it vacuums. Pulls the carpet mate up to make it fill spongy and soft. And did I mention deep cleaning the carpet. Hepa filter appears to be working well as well as the vacuum bags not letting out the vacuumed dust. Sweeper brush is the real deal . Great buy, Powerful But Not Light
This was a re-certified model but it looks and performs like new and it included all the normal parts. The suction is so incredible that I need to dial it back if I'm using the hose around any lose fabric, like a bed skirt. It works great on carpet. As many have commented. the corrugated hose is stiff and short but that hasn't been an issue for me. This is a heavy vacuum so I had to adjust my technique to let the vacuum do the work vs just pushing it around. But, it's not much heavier that comparable models. The headlights are very good. The dirt indicator is interesting but I'm not sure what to think of it except to go over an area again if the light came on. Assembly was trivial (one screw). Some complained about the high cost of a replacement brush/motor unit but I've seen them online recently at reasonable cost (this was important to me). The power cord is longer than average but stiff, IMO; a minor inconvenience. I haven't used the pet hair attachment yet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Kenmore Elite upright vacuum 31150
I have used this new to me vacuum several times so far and it has the best suction power on the market today. Lots of air flow and it cleans very well.
