As a user of a Samsung S6 I was delighted that Oculus Rift had joined up with Samsung. I love watching movies and the incredible sensation of being in a large theatre is unbelievable. It's like having a full cinema in the house but with complete privacy. In the VR mode this gives complete 360 degree Vision, it's like being in an IMAX theatre. Incredible technology, very impressive. The 3D effect is stunning. The whole effect is so real that I wanted to put a cup down on a virtual table. Very few cons: it does drain the battery quickly And gets a bit warm. Pros: Very easy to navigate, attractive design, State of the art technology. The Samsung Gear VR Oculus 2016 SM-R323 is a well designed product. The main feature that makes it great is that gives priority to fps above all, thanks to the circuit that has build in. Super cool if you have the time
Its an amazing innovation, looks stunning at first but the resolution is still very very low to make it a viable alternative to TV or an led monitor. I used it just a few time using my Samsung S7 edge, the experience is really engaging and gets more "immersive" the longer you wear it. These Samsung VR sets are truly astonishing! I'm using it with Samsung galaxy s7 edge, and it has been fantastic. You can watch all the content on your phone, pictures, videos etc and you can download Netflix and other video platforms. The oculus app comes with content already that will blow your mind. I strongly recommend buying one, however you must know if your the type of person that doesn't charge to 100%, your battery will not last long in this, as it eats a tremendous amount of charge, but you can charge and play at the same time. For the price paid this is a great item, really takes you into the world of VR plenty of things to try at the Oculus and Samsung VR sites before you have to start spending any money. AMAZING Bit Of Kit!
I'm an avid PS4 gamer & been thinking of buying the PlayStation VR, but I wanted to try it before forking out the £400 for it. I've since tried a family members Gear VR & was blown away by the game immersion (I KNOW it's VR!), so I decided there & then to buy one.
