Very nice scope
clear glass, solid feel to it. adjustment knobs feel clean and precise. I have bore sighted in and it was very close and easy to get dialed. the Zero cap feature is awesome! Ready to hit the range and stretch its legs. Then off to hunt some yotes and Javalina. :-) i would buy this again and probably will.

Can't beat it for the money
Bought this for my Ares SCR. Sits nice on a Burris QD PEPR scope mount, if you ask me, a marriage made in heaven. Scope has a very precise and clear reticle. I've bought scopes costing 10x the price that had crooked reticles out of the box. This one's perfect. Glass is clear, sharp, and no color distortion, even at higher magnification settings. What's nice about this scope is that the reticle is made for .223 55Gr bullets. So you have built in ballistic bullet drop calculated for you. Best scope for the price range period!!! Rugged construction!!! Dials are crisp and dont feel cheap. Great for the price! Like most Nikon products!
I'm a little biased, since I own and have owned many Nikon product. I've never found a bad one and this scope is no exception. It sits on top of a low recoil suppressed AR15, so (hopefully) it will never take a beating. Haven't really used the BDC, but it's there if I need it. If you're on a budget or just don't want to spend more than needed, this scope will do the trick. You can buy better, but it will cost you. Great scope
For years, I have used Nikon Monarch UCC scopes. Thought they were the best and clearest for the money. I always found them clearer than VX II and as clear as VXIII. This scope is even clearer. First one I have owned and I am amazed by it. Nikon's lifetime warranty is just that. Had an Omega that had a frozen turret and was fixed promptly and correctly. Great for the price.
Although this is not the best scope I have it was perfect for the 223/556 bolt action. The BDC seems to be very accurate with the 55 gr ammo. It was zeroed at 100 yards and my wife shot a 1" group at 300 yards. Within 10 shots with this scope I was easily able to adjust it so that my next 3 shot group fit in a dime & all within a small bullseye at about 100 yards.
