I was not sure if such a compact size unit would be able to deliver any real bass, so it was a bit of a gamble when I ordered it. Unfortunately Smart cars don't have much room to fit 15" subs so this seemed ideal. The thing you first notice when the unit arrives is how well made and solid it is. Fits perfectly under the drivers seat and wow does it kick out some Bass. It is really surprising how much it adds to the music and the crossover has good adjustment so you can dial it in really well. I would certainly recommend this unit to anyone looking to add a compact sub but get a big Sub sound. It won't blow the doors of but will add the bass you need to the music to give it some real depth. Comes with a good wiring loom. I will certainly be buying more of these.

Very impressed with this unit. Currently installed behind rear seats in a L200, provides extremely crisp bass, it's currently set at 30% gain which seems to be perfect volume for any type of music, this unit packs a serious punch over 70% which is very controlled. If you want a sub unit that will make your stock headunit sound like a half decent hifi system then definitely worth buying.

Bought mine used off ebay as I didn't have high expections. I'd previously had a Kenwood KSC-SW11, which, despite all the praise it gets, I thought it was a box of underpowered, gutless rot. I've had the Vibe Optisound under my seat for just a few days but it is far more powerful than the Kenwood, despite still tweaking the settings on my stereo, it seems to reach lower frequencies than the Kenwood and gives the audio some real depth. I've only got a run of the mill JVC with bluetooth, USB, etc., some really old Kenwood dual mags in the rear and set of Hertz components up front. I was pretty content with the way the mids and highs were and thought this little sub would just mush it up. Not the case. Highly recommended sub - especially for the prices on ebay. I'd avoid the Kenwood though.
