#0 Do RESET your self. Some sellers dont go it right. #1 Buy used phone #2 Let the battery drain completely SLOWLY (keeping battery cool) #3 Charge to 100% (take cover off and place in a cool environment so battery does not get too warm during charge) #4 Repear #2 and #3 up to 5 times. This is called CONDITIONING the battery. #5 Enjoy longest battery life you've even seen. #6 Root your phone. Otherwise its a piece of useless garbage. Make sure to Wipe Cache after root. #7 Using root privileges, remove bloatware from your phone to make the battery last even longer. Fast camera. Long battery life. Longer then any galaxy i've had including Note 4 or S5 Good screen responsiveness, not as touchy as Galaxy but not bad at all. Screen brightness is far better then Galaxy phones. Not because its brighter, but because it can get darker at night and does not go too bright during the day. External micro SD card BINGO !@!!!!! micro SimCard (not NANO) 2 things i dont like #1 Volume and PWR button are in the back. #2 Buttons are on the screen. They are not actual buttons. With the TWO problems (that are more like inconvenience) i like this phone. I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants to try something other then Galaxy.Read full review

As a long term satisfied user of older LG phones, I was surprised and disappointed when my LG G3 died after only 14 months (2 months out of warranty-of course) from the dread "boot loop" issue. BUT, I figured the issue was related to the Android 6 "Marshmallow" upgrade I had just allowed. So, I decided to replace it with a used LG G4, which was "optimised for marshmallow." BIG MISTAKE. The G4 died only 60 days after I bought it, from the VERY SAME "boot loop" problem. The Verizon store rep commented that "We get lots of G4s that fail from this issue. Once it happens, the phone is a total brick." The LG support web site is no help whatsoever - "send us your phone and $100 diagnostic fee". OK, LG fooled me twice; shame on ME. NEVER AGAIN, this time I'm buying an iPhone.

LG G4 is one of my favorite phones because it has all the features (such as great camera rivaling best out there QHD screen, removable battery, IR blaster, 3GB ram, micro SD card etc) and can be found for low cost used on ebay. Comparing LG G4 against my Galaxy Note 4 (I don't like newer Samsung phones due to glass back, non removable battery etc), Pro for Note 4 is better screen quality (Amoled vs LCD), build quality (Note 4 feels more solid than LG G4). Pros for LG G4 are better main and selfie camera than Note 4 (just take some photos in low light and you'll see what I mean - LG G4 surpasses Note 4 camera by quite a bit), ergonamics (LG G4 is more comfortable to hold in hand, and back button is better than side buttons). Overall, I would put Note 4 and LG G4 side by side and it comes out almost even. It depends on what's more important for you - better camera (LG G4) or better screen and S-pen (Note 4). Either way, both are very good phones. One caveat for LG G4 is the boot looping. This is problem due to LG G4 Snapdragon 808 overheating, and breaking solder bonds on ram chip which sits above tie SD 808. Lots of LG G4 develop this issue, and while it can be fixed by resoldering the ram chip, it is a big defect in manufacturing quality. So LG G4 is good for lot of things, but if you are heavy gamer who likes to run ght phone hot all the time, then LG G4 will probably develop boot looping.Read full review

I got this as a "stand in" after my G3 died and the Galaxy S8 was not yet available. The leather back is gorgeous and gives a good grip using the phone. Mine came with a black leather back, but I purchased a tan one so it would be easier to find. It is faster all the way around compared to my G3. I continue to love the double tap wake up. I don't know what a newer phone would do any better than this one, which cost a tiny fraction of the "latest thing." The basic 32G memory is more than enough and the MicroSD slot lets you go crazy. The battery life is not great if you use the phone a lot, but replacement batteries and out-of-the phone rechargers are inexpensive, so I can deal with it. I hate that the newer phones don't allow for battery replacement.

Overall the phone looks great and performs well. Still in the testing phase because I'm so use to my Galaxy S5. Only downfall I'm experiencing is the battery usage. Battery seem to deplete in minutes so I'm trying to research ways to save battery life. Hopefully an upgrade will fix this problem. Also I can't get the SD slot to function so i can utilize it with a new SD card I bought. Other than those minor issues it is an awesome phone.

After ruining my Samsung note 4 (water damage), I decided to give the LG G4 a try (as much as I loved the SN4, I did not want to shell out big bucks again for a cell phone). The G4 phone is ok/good. The resolution and battery life underachieves in comparison to the SN4. The G4 picture taking feature is very good and the comfort of holding it(curvy design) is excellent. In all, I would still rather have my SN4 but this will do the job for now.

This was purchased to replace a Motorola Razr M that was getting slower and slower and having less and less battery life. I don't use a ton of apps, but do not have internet service in the rural area where I live. I found that this phone has a much better signal strength than the Motorola and the battery life puts the Razr to shame! Nice graphics, great camera and video image quality. Lots of options for ringtones, alerts, and other sounds and appearance. Not bloated with a ridiculous amount of factory installed apps that will never be used. Though bigger than the Razr, it is manageable and I like being able to adjust the font size - especially for the keyboard - which is very helpful for these old, tired eyes. Great sound quality and fairly decent volume. Had no problem syncing it to my car. Very impressed and I don't feel like I have an outdated phone!Read full review

I tried every cellphone including iphones, I love G4. It is the best phone I ever had. On and off button with the volume control is on the back center so when you grab the phone you don't grab the buttons by mistake as in all other phones. Very fast processor, good battery life, you can replace your own battery and you can add your own memory (micro sd). Excellent cameras, the screen is very good for watching movies. 😇

With nothing terribly groundbreaking happening in the cell phone market over the last couple of years, for someone looking for value the LG G4 is worth a look. The deal breaker for those considering is the fact that the phone is susceptible to bricking. I had a previous phone that experienced this and was replaced under a warranty policy by Verizon. Purchasing a factory refurbished unit will hopefully provide a phone that has had a fix to prevent bricking. The big pluses is the 16mp camera with its manual tweaking interface, a micro SD card and removable battery that can easily be changed. If you don't mind a large format object in your pocket, you can purchase a huge aftermarket battery and back cover that provides many many hours of video use without running low on juice.
