Honest review
Although the fan looks cheap it will actually slow down your fan. it works with 6 inch fans and it all comes down to the size of the motor hence it says 300w. I've used it to slow down a 6 inch standard fan, the problem is the fan cuts of when the knobs turn down by 1/4 turn but in that 1/4 turn it's aper sensitive so with a delicate touch you can alter the speed by a fair bit. If the fan was more powerful it would have a higher range. So a standard 6 inch fan will not start until the knob gets to about 3/4 way to full power bit that last quarter can be adjusted. I bought the dimmer plug to reduce the light emitting from my standing corner uplighter it works better than I expected. The product is made to the highest quality because it just feels right and the dimmer switch is responsive and does what it says on the tin, as they say.
