Simple yet perfect!
I installed this Dual Whole House Water Filter a few years back... and I’ve been really happy with its performance, that I decided to install one in another home I own. The 2 filters do a great job of insuring I get cleaned water in the kitchen, as well as the rest of my home.... Washing Machine, shower and bathroom. Installation was easy.... I used the quick connect things on my copper pipes (more expensive but so very easy). I also like that the filters themselves are inexpensive when bought in bulk.... For the price, it really is a no-brainer... you certainly can spend hundreds of dollars or more for a whole house filter system ... but the piece of mind that this product provides is all I need.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ok filter housing but about 1/4" long for the enclosed filters.
I bought this filter for my motorhome. I wanted to filter the incoming water when connected to hook-ups in RV parks. The filter housing is good quality materials similar to other "name brand" filter housings. The issue is that the filter housing is about 1/4 - 3/8" too long causing the filters to not make a good seal. This is required if you want to be able to make sure all of the water going through it is filtered. I made it work by buying silicon gasket material and cutting gaskets to fit the bottom of each of the filter housings. The gaskets cost an additional $7 which put the cost over what I can get by just going to Lowes or Homedepot and buying the name brand filter housing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mine leaked, too
Like many others, the screw-on canisters leak on mine - tried them without filter cartridges and still leaked. Poor design, basically, as there's no 'tongue' for the tongue and groove seal - just an O-ring in the groove side. Finally decided to seal up with silicone form-a-gasket, then replace in a year or so. You'll need an additional O-ring for enough compression, as well as sanding to reduce casting marks. And, also as mentioned other reviews, the carbon filter is the wrong size. Make sure to install with a bypass line, as shown in the directions.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

My whole house double filter is one of the best things I have purchased in years.
I do highly recommend this whole house filter. As soon as got it hooked up and opened the valves, I could see the water coming into the first filter. It works great. It's been filtering my water for two weeks now and it's turning brown from the rust in our city water. The charcoal filter on the right side is still in good shape probably because the first filter is doing a great job stopping all the rust and any other junk in the city water system. It really was fairly easy to assemble. It works just like they said it would. I ordered a 12 pak of filters for a year supply. Thanks guys. D. Leaks through filter housing. Kills house water pressure.
I spent an entire day fighting with the leaks. It leaks. The leaking came from the top of the filter housing, despite treating the plastic threads with a potable water safe thread sealer. Second, the two filters killed my homes water pressure. Third, the bleeder valves, when opened, spray water all over until the pressure subsides. It would be a great value if it weren't for those problems.

I suggest using 3/4 sharkbit fittings for the connection. Silicon grease needed. Trying to stop the leaks can be a headache. I love the shark bite connectors that make installing this easy (I had to buy those separate at my local ace hardware). The quality of this product is good for being so cheap. The filters seem a little loose after installing them but they filter out all the bad stuff so it must just be my eye. It actually worked!
This was my last ditch effort before having to buy a water softener for our well water. After buying a few SharkBite plumbing fittings, install was very easy. I noticed a difference in water smell and quality immediately. I'm very happy with this filter.
