Massive hippo 84
Not a bad little sub sound is good in the proper box but not an spl type woofer whatsoever , compared to my last two set-ups I had the ct sounds meso v.2 8 hit much lower and the sundown sa-8 was much louder ..also next to each other this little guy is dwarfed in comparison to the other two, but all in all you can't beat the price of this little guy (good bang for the buck) if your looking to save some money and still bump get this sub, just don't expect people to think you've got 2 10's it sounds like a great 8" woofer..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Massive sound for small subs.
I have been into car audio bass since the early 90's. Big bass reputation was always associated with larger cone woofers 12-18" subs. YET these little 8's absolutely HAMMER low bass 25hz-36hz it is mind blowing. I have 3 Massive Hippo's in a custom box and the lower the bass the louder they sound, I ordered 2 more to make 5 Hippo 84's in a custom box. Wont go back to large subs after hearing these, simply because they produce the lows of a larger sub but you can fit more in an area allowing more surface area to produce bass. for example my 5 hippos's will equal 40" of moving surface producing bass, that is greater than 2 18" subs, require less space and are far more cost effective.
