Best speakers I've ever had!!!
I had a lot of speakers like Klipsch Icon VF-35, Klipsch R-26F, Jamo speakers, Harman/Kardon speakers before I bought these bad boys. From all speakers that I had, from all speakers that I auditioned in stores or in my friends houses, the RP-280F are the best I've ever heard. Well I'm not comparing them with speakers that cost thens of thousands of dollars, but for this price or even double the price, there are no better than those speakers. I started listening to all my favorite music over and over again cause with these speakers I feel like I'm hearing it for the first time. I even rewatched all my movie collection again. I'm hearing sounds that I've never heard before. The sound is very clean. It's so beautiful and dynamic. You can hear every instrument and it sounds like the artist performs in your room. It doesn't matter high or low volume the sound is amazing. I've also never experienced any fatigue after long listening. If your budget for speakers is around $1000 look no further! Best speakers available at this price.
I've heard alot of sound systems but never anything like these. Crystal clear and tight is how I'd describe these. My wife balked at the idea of towers in our living room until I got them home and have her a listen. The sound quality coupled with the incredible looks won her over and I now have a full klipsch 7.2 system with these babies up front. I bought these as an open box item and saved about 150$ and they came in original boxes mint condition! So happy with these. Fantastic sound quality for little $$
I have had many high end items since the early 90's. I bought these to pair with TV and movies because they make the dialog so much easier to hear. With music, instruments and vocals are clearly delineated. There is good pitch and tone. Timbre is very good but not perfect. Dynamic changes are excellent. Music comes alive. Drums have good punch. They add very good emotion to the music. These are not dull, lifeless sound speakers. They can seam a little bright at times but probably due to the program material and effects from my own acoustic environment. Bass was a little weak when they first arrived. After some break in time, the bass sound much stronger. Stand up bass is excellent with nice tone and pitch changes clearly heard. I could go on and on. I have these paired with Adcom GTP 350 pre, Adcom GFA 5500, Arcam fmj cd23, Parasound phono and Rega Planar 3. Can't wait to try them with tube power. DougVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

This Company is Great!
Sound Distributors - wow! What a company! Shipped by UPS in extra strong cartons over the original shipping cartons. I ordered these speakers because they were $150.00 less than other Klipsch dealers. Don't let the term "Open Box" scare you with this company. I've got to tell you these speakers were professionally packed and arrived in pristine condition. There was not even a smudge on them - maybe they cleaned them before shipment? Anyway, I am going to be looking here FIRST, for all my stereo needs in the future. The speakers work just as expected, and all I have owned for decades is Klipsch. These are great even for Klipsch. A hell f a value. And they are just beautiful pieces of furniture, too. A great soundstage that can be fine tuned as much as I want and fiddling and room mapping all pays off. I had intended to install these in my audio room, but my wife likes the look and sound so much she insisted I put them in our living room. Killer Klipsch Speakers
These are the best tower speakers I've ever owned. They are superb and thunderous when using them in a home theater system. Now my ATMOS surround sound setup sounds just as good as a movie theater's. They are also magnificent when using them in a 2 channel stereo setting when just playing my music. I've heard notes, sounds, and vocals I've never heard before. Finally I got speakers that fully satisfy my ears with a full range of sounds. I had Bose sound system and it sounded great but something was missing, like real mids and lowes. Klipsch has it all plus very good quality of high tones. And it looks as good as it's sounds No regrets at all, lowest price you can get for very high quality speakers that any music and movie lovers will appreciate. quality sound in a good looking package
I first had the rp240 speakers which sounded quite good from a sound quality perspective. I thought that if these speakers sound this good the 280's should sound much fuller and more powerful, they do all of this. I am hearing things that I haven't heard before, much more detailed sound. I like to watch videos on YouTube and play action video games so I wanted an immersive sound, these speakers help to deliver that. These speakers are part of my 12 speaker surround set, all Klipsch coupled with the top of the line Yamaha A/V system. Worth the Upgrade
I had the RF-62 series but had upgraded my center speaker which is in the family of the new reference series. i could tell a major different in the tweeter redesign so I decide to upgrade my fronts with the RP-280F series. It was well worth the upgrade and my system is matched perfectly. I love the redesign as the highs do not sound as harsh as they did on the older reference series. Plus moving up to the 8" versus 6" made a dramatic impact to overall sound quality of my system. I actually reduced my cutoff on my SVS subs to 60Hz rather than 120Hz and my system sounds like a Cineplex! Great upgrade and worth the money!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Speakers
I am running a Denon receiver 90 watts per channel and the speakers are hungering for more power. I gave them all my receiver had and there was absolutely no distortion.
