Good device for backing up my data folder and storing in a security box in bank.
So far I have been able to backup my data folder ( 160GB) to two of these and 2 older versions of this same item. I have one folder in Windows 10 with all of my data contained in it. All four are 64GB and the new one's are definitely 25% faster as I timed the backup of 55GB to each. As far as how they compare to other types I do not know as I only have Patriot USB's. I buy these because they have been reliable for me several years. I can place these in a security box at the bank and I have had no issues getting data back when needed. Not as Fast as I thought it would be
I bought the Patriot Rage 2 series 128G earlier and it was fast with continuous 100gb per second transfers. I thought this XT version would be comparable to the rage 2 series and I was wrong. The maximum transfer rate is about 25Gbs per second. I have a 500G portable mini USB2 hard drive I bought over 15 years ago that gets better transfer rates than the current flash drives. My USB2 gets 40Gs per second and my old USB3 drive over 100Gs per second. If you gonna transfer 10gb or over, don't buy a Flash drive, get a small portable hard drive for a few dollars more. Bigger storage and much faster transfer rates and just slightly larger. If you can lug your phone around everywhere then a much smaller portable hard drive shouldn't be a problem either.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
