Fast response and low price--works great
Got this to replace my old Roku2 XD, which was quite slow to accept and act on commands. This unit works perfectly, very snappy. It came with a power supply but no remote. My old remote works fine with it. However, I would not have been able to use the old power supply--different connector, different voltage output. What to do to first to enjoy your Roku!
When you get a used Roku, go to settings and do a Factory Reset first. This will wipe out any info from previous owner. Get an account with Roku or just link it to this new to you device. The Roku 4210 was needed for me to use youtubeTV. My older Roku model was not able to be used. Older model but still has great value
What I like about this particular model of Roku is that so far every single hard drive I've used with it performs stellar. What I mean is this, I've tried portable and desktop drives and all were able to be read by the roku . Compared to the Roku 1 I have on the basement TV it's much faster with the downloading. Only issue is probably not with the Roku, but with Netflix, or my Wifi. Roku 2 purchased to replace earlier version that had failed. This model has improvements including provision for additional buffer memory, and connects directly to server, convenient in my case.
