  • Very substantial for the appropriate jobs.

This is easy to mix and use. It solidifies extremely hard and appears, on short notice, to be very durable. It is not really suitable for working into VERY small areas as it doesn't really have the malleability for that. Also, you will need to mix and use it within a few minutes due to a fairly rapid hardening time. But, depending upon your requirements, this is impressive stuff. Overall, a useful item to have available for certain types of repair jobs.

  • JB STEELSTIKREVIEW - A GOOD PRODUCT

I gave this a try because I have used JB Weld (another JB product) with some success in the past. I normally used a similar product (ABRO Steel) but it has not bonded very well in recent times. So I gave the JB a try instead. Although a bit more expensive, I got a good deal on Ebay almost two for one. I have only used it a couple of times, but the JB steel seems to bond quite well, which I thought was lacking with ABRO Steel. Both go hard which is the main reason for using the products. Note that the JB does clearly state “metals,” so I am not sure that it would stick to other materials (e.g. plastics). But I have not tested this. Depending upon the job, use grooves or even scratches on surfaces to be joined and properly cleaned and de-greased – for better adhesion. I do wonder whether the “shelf life” is somewhat limited with these products, once opened. I suggest sealing in a plastic bag- tight at both ends of the stick. Vic

  • Good but tricky

The weld steel stick made a good repair on my alloy wheel. However it is sticky to roll/mix and does harden very quickly so is tricky to use on a small fiddly job.

  • Good stuff

As stated on the packet used it for small cracks/holes in exhaust pipe. Sets after about 5mins it worked I put some exhaust putty repair stuff over the top also to make a good repair. Hopefully it will last another year

  • Weld stick

Easy to use and the longer you leave it the stronger it will be. Does exactly what is written on the instructions.

  • Great Stuff...

I had a rusty garden gate that needed repair. This stuff fixed it in under 2 minutes. It's sets in 5 minutes and you can sand and paint in an hour. I was worried that it would start raining but this stuff hardens and sets underwater so no worries!! So to summarise it made what I thought was a hard job ( I thought I would need to weld) very, very easy. I've painted it now and am very happy with the results.
