Just as good as the better known brand
Have seen other brands in the shops, this is almost identical and uses the same size bedding. I did buy an additional mattress cover (not included) and then used a couple of folded towels on top of the mattress but under the cover and fitted sheet as I felt it was a little hard. I have not yet attempted to use the rocking function. Little one is 8 weeks old, spends at least part of every night in this crib, easy to lift him to and from our bed for nursing. I would not use this as a travel crib as it is a fair size also assembly took me 30-45mins, you could probably be quicker if you practiced. Overall very happy, excellent product. Newborn essential
I love my Next to Me crib. Made breastfeeding over night much easier. It allowed me to feed lying down without the risk of my little one falling out of bed. I used it until my daughter was pulling herself up as it is much bigger than a moses basket so can be used to a much older age. As it it is easy to put up and down, we even used it instead of a travel cot when we stayed with relatives. Keeps our baby closer
Before our child 'arrived' - we thought that cot bed is a great thing for us. We placed it just a step away of our bed. But newborn require more attention all the time - and 'popping out' from the bet every 10 min is quite a challenge! We came up with Next2Me crib. After chexking few reviews decided to give it a go - quite pricey for just a try, but glad I paid for it! A very good replacement/addition!
I chose to purchase this mattress after scouring Amazon & eBay looking for some good reviews! I can confirm that the mattress fits the Chicco Next2Me very well and feels better than the original in every way. The original mattress is quite frankly embarrassing and although this one (listed) doesn’t have the hard backing, I will be using it on top of the original and I’m glad it will be slightly raised. It DOES have quite a strong smell to it but I can live with it- hopefully it will air out over the coming weeks before my baby arrives. It is very good value for the quality and I would definitely recommend it. The only downside I can give is that it was sent folded in half which is disappointing but it did fold out flat quite well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great replacement mattress
We brought a second hand ‘Next2me’ crib and wanted a new mattress- this one fits perfectly. It arrived quickly and seems to be good quality. I like that it seems a bit comfier than the original Chicco mattress too- which we thought was very hard- although it is still firm enough for a newborn. The Chicco mattress had a piece of hardboard on the underside- we removed this and put it in the crib. Good but not soo strong

Great for feeding through the night
Pros - Don't have to get out of bed to check on baby, to adjust his covers or to pick him up for feed/s - Much better size than moses basket, My 3 month old growing out of moses basket already but has loads of room in this crib. - it collapses easily enough if need for travelling.
