Another great Braun product!
This is my second Braun Shaver. Once again, a fantastic product. New multi directional head allows for a smooth close shave. Very quiet. Just charged it after about 10-12 shaves. Haven't used the automatic cleaning unit yet-maybe someday. I just rinse the removable head under hot water, shake it and let it dry. Shaving is a joy again. Waited far too long with my old 3 Series (12 years). While this delivers a close wonderful shave, for those who think electric shavers should provide the same extremely close, quality shave as a razor, it's not going to happen. It's not possible. It's like comparing apples to oranges. But this Braun is simply, a great shaver. German engineering...of course.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Piece of crap
This unit is a defective overpriced piece of garbage. The cleaning cycle leaks inside, lock mechanism jams and doesn't work, the foil springs are uneven, it does shave well without burning and pulling hairs, trimmer jams and is very weak. HORRIBLEVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good not Great
It's a good shaver for the money , compared to what's available out there in its price class the series 5 5090cc shaver is 1 of the best. Great upgrade for me

Smooth shave with zero ingrown hairs afterward!
Very nice electric shaver. My only complaint is the flip up trimmer doesn't work as well as a straight razor, but that is pretty typical with these shavers. I honestly think it gives me a closer shave than any straight razor with pre-oil AND shave cream (not any of that Gillette shave gel garbage) and there are virtually no ingrown hairs like the straight razors give me.
