Side scrolling wheel is neato but I actually don't use it much. Maybe because it's kind of hard to spin, like dipped in honey. Back and forward buttons work perfectly and feel better than they look. Ignore reviewers complaining about them. It'll last 15 days of all day use between charges. The issue that makes this mouse 4 stars is that it's not actually bluetooth. It's actually BLE or "Bluetooth low energy" which saves power apparently but also isn't compatible with things that can't support this variant specification. My android 4.2.2 phone can't support it. That upset me as no where on the device is this made clear. The mouse should support both specifications. Oh well. It's still an excellent mouse and I'll have it for years hopefully.

I love Logitech products and I've been using Performance MX mouse since they launched it years ago, and never had any problems. My Performance MX mouse was getting really old, so when I saw this new fancy looking MX Master mouse, I decided to upgrade. MX Master looks cool, however ... there are two issues with this mouse ... 1. Scroll wheel - when wheel is unlocked and I'm scrolling long web page, when I stop the wheel with my finger, the page should stop scrolling, but it doesn't ... the page will move up and down before it completely stops, and this is very annoying thing, in particular for the eyes. I don't know if this is some kind of mechanical issue or is it something that could be fixed with software or firmware update. 2. Two side buttons on the left side of the mouse, used to go back and forth between pages, have a really weird design. They are long, irregular shape and side by side to each other, and it's terribly hard to hit only one of the buttons with thumb. You either have to do some acrobatic moves with your thumb, or you hit both buttons at the same time. I'm very disappointed with this mouse and I'm still waiting for the answer from Logitech. Anyway, I'm definitely getting another Performance MX mouse while they still sell them. It's an old model, but at least I know that one works great. MikeRead full review

Physically, this mouse is great! The feel and comfort is unparalleled. and I love how it can sync with multiple devices without needing to constantly un/re-pair. The only issue I've had with this mouse is the software (Logitech Options) on my Macs. The gesture and configuration features only seem to work when using the Unifying Receiver. When connected via Bluetooth, the software doesn't even register the mouse as connected (it does see my Logitech Bluetooth Trackpad, however). This may just be me, and this may just be a mac problem, and it may just be a glitch, but be aware that there is at least a CHANCE the software will not play nicely with the method you use to connect up this mouse. Other than that, it is a great product, and if Logitech can get the software working properly, it will be perfect!Read full review

Although this mouse is kind of old in the ever expanding world of gaming mice, you can't beat its comfort and functionality. The number one thing i love about this mouse is its comfort. My hand fits on it really well, although i wish it were a bit more heavy +/- 2~3grams.. Very stable wireless connection, i have no idea what others have against wireless mice. This is with 3 Logitech devices on the Unifying receiver. Speed is customizable just like any other mid-tier and higher mouse. I got this mouse for about half the price than when it came out, and for that deal I'd say it was money well spent. Many functions and comfort are the most important aspects to the thing your hand will be attached to for a majority of the time, and the MX Master delivers on all accounts.

NOT being a techy & this being my first higher end mouse I'm happy with the performance, comfort, size & how it holds a charge. The unit tracks very well on my wooden desk, although the price is OK it is a bit higher than what I could have purchased but that said I feel once I become used to the features it offers I'll get more use from it. The unit is sensitive so be careful when resting your hand on it & it seems to hold a charge very well although I do turn it off when not using for extended periods i.e @ night. So to date I would recommend, time will tell. Well I've had this mouse a few months now & I'm happy with it, for a non techy the features do take a little getting used to but once you do it's all good, I found this out with another mouse that was weird & didn't have the, page return, left 2 right screen option & minimize button etc. I would recommend this mouse.Read full review
