Best bundle I ever purchased... The gift that keeps on giving.

I upgraded from an old 2 tuner Tivo Premiere and this is a great update. 6 tuners and the new "experience" (GUI) is pretty good, although missing some features like sorting the guide by channel name and the beloved thumbs up/down is apparently deprecated for some stupid reason. I got this with 2 "minis" and they work amazing for other rooms in the house. The remotes are also a welcome upgrade to the old style. The buttons feel great and it uses both IR and BT. Also the HD space is vastly improved, we have so many shows and suggestions now and only like 15% used! Before we'd be like 85% full by now. MoCA is also pretty incredible... The one I got came with LIFETIME subscriptions (on both minis and Roamio) which is killer (especially for the $250 I paid for it all). Been being bent-over by TiVo for TWO DECADES for $15/mo for what amounts to a stupid TV guide (that you can get for free on Windows Media Center and others)... NO MORE! Now I am free from their shackles! ...might use that $15 to update my Comcast cable channel lineup (again) ;-)

    Hubk of Junk!

This TiVO model has several major "bugs" that apparently TiVO never bothered to fix! One is a known major "bug" wherein this model has initial set-up problems that can often cause it to "loop" within set-up and never complete it. TiVO support is totally useless - not only could they not resolve the looping, but they couldn't or wouldn't even tell me how to reset the unit so I could try starting the set-up all over again! It IS a piece of junk. To those of you who do have it working properly, count yourselves as very lucky indeed!

  • All in one media

Not only can you watch/record your local TV shows (via antenna), but you can log in to your streaming accounts as well (Netflix, Hulu, etc.). You can enter all your favorite shows, even if they're on streaming, and TiVo adds them to "My Shows." I also love the "SKIP" commercials feature. One button and you're back to the show. Also, if it's a little boring and you want to speed things up, you can go to "Quick View" and it will play 30% faster in regular speaking voices (faster without chipmunk voice). Also, if you have another TiVo device in your home, you can transfer shows from the other device to the Roamio. It can record 4 different channels simultaneously. I love it!

  • Perfect Solution For Local Channels

Has been a great machine. Works perfectly just like all Tivos do. So many cool features I wish all my viewing was through the Roamio. Currently use PS Vue with Fire TV and those two together are amazing. The Fire TV is super fast and has Hulu, Netflix, Google, Amazon, etc so I am really only down to two input TiVo and Fire TV. Even sort of gave up Chromecasting to the Fire TV so things are simpler now. Down to just 2 remotes (but with a very sweet sidekick for the Fire TV). Only negative on the Roamio is it doesn't support CEC. They claim it doesn't need to because it more of an always on device. WRONG. Every time I go to use it it is asleep. Hit the TiVo button to wake it up. Put the damn CEC commands in there so it would switch channels and or turn on the TV. Tons of people on the forums agree. I guess the design engineers just blew it on thinking that one through and it probably can't be updated in. It's a small thing but once you have all your gear running CEC, constantly having TIVO disappoint you adds up.

  • This is much bettet

When we cut expensive cable someone suggested another brand and we totally disliked it. Purchased this Tivo for antennas and we love it. Wish we had this sooner.h

  • Best product of its kind hands down

Nothing but positive marks for this DVR. Love the skip feature and the ability to record on four channels at once. Easy to setup and easy to use. It's simply great.

  • Tivo

So much better than cable provider box software. Need to get one and try it out to see how easy it is. Buy one with at least 4 tuners. Tivo Roamio Plus and Pro have 6 tuners. Makes watching TV so much better.

  • Old used TIVO, best for a very good streaming box, so cheap and performance is excellent

I have 2 TIVO's that are not on a subscription, just connected to my MOCA network. They are used to stream recorded programs from my central TIVO Bolt. These older TIVO's are excellent for this streaming service. Or put the box on the net work, all you need is a program subscription and a cable card and some need a digital tuner adapter. They are a very smart buy if you use them as I have done.

  • WOW What a box!!

Hands down it beats the cable company's DVR! 6 tuners, AND it seamlessly searches Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and Vudu. Then it takes all of that and presents it to you in a logical order!

  • Better than expected

I didn't know these devices were available for anything other than cable TV. In reality this should be called WiFi OTA because it requires an internet connection. The TiVo replaced my expensive DVD recorder that finally kicked the bucket. I really didn't need a DVD/VCR recorder as I don't make permanent DVD's. This machine is so convenient and has so many features. I wished I got it a couple years ago.
