Tassimo Bosch
There are several of these type of coffee makers out there, but I chose the Tassimo system because of the availability of the coffee etc., and Bosch for the legendary quality. I am not disappointed, it works well and every cup is like a fresh brew and worth the cost due to the quality of the drink. The bar code dictates the amount of water used, a tiny amount for espresso, and a lot for a Hot Chocolate. I find that the standard is a bit too small, so flip the lid open at the end of the cycle, close, and press the button again to fill the cup, switching off when there is enough. The coffee seems to be strong enough to stand this. The only problem I had was it wouldn't work out of the box, and the instructions are very vague being mostly graphical. It seems it wanted to run a cleaning cycle, something I only found out about on YouTube. Basically, fill it with water, switch it on with the blue cleaning disc in, and let it run - it takes about 45 minutes to complete and you will need a decent sized cup to take the water. After this cycle finished, it has been faultless and I now wouldn't do without it. There are some Tassimo cartridge bargains on eBay, I bought some mixed varieties of teas, coffee, and hot chocolate. I am still working my way through them. It has a small footprint, I just moved my kettle and slid it in, unlike a lot of kitchen gadgets, this one will be used.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Makes a good drink
The Tassimo is a well known, tried and tested, Coffee maker that is versatile enough to make one or two other drinks. The water tank could do with being bigger but then maybe I should drink less coffee :-). The drink pods (Containing the coffee or milk etc.) are not cheap but, compared to the high street coffee vendors the price per cup is lower and, if you shop around, you can get some pretty good deals on the pods. Oh. My machine was a refurbished one I think. Not a lot to say about that really as it has worked every time and you couldn't tell it from a new one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Coffee Snob...Moi?
This is our second machine. Just easier than jar, spoon, cup, sugar, kettle and milk(*) This one now come with a filter system so why the wife insists filling it from the filter jug in the fridge.(Women Prime ministers next). It also has a small lamp which is useful. Down side. Unless you really really love Costa Americanos (available at leading supermarkets ....sometimes, you have to order in. However this is actually cheaper even if you like Costa Amer....... I've liked the TAG yellow ones only to discover its a coffee you can drink before bed time, Intenso's various which should only be drunk before twelve noon (unless you are Italian). Wife likes the Chocolate Suchard, and the Breakfast Coffee. ps Down Side 2 Bosch/Tassimo sense of humour. On the back of the box they used to give the Millilitre size of the coffee. Now they've put a picture of the relative cup that might do. (a) put both. (b) put it on the front in large type or even braille cos until I've had my first cup the eyes don't focus to good. This is a nice little compact Tassimo machine. It works as expected, my only criticism is the tiny water tank. You cannot make more than a couple of drinks with this machine before you have to refill it. But perhaps that is to be expected with a compact machine. Although compact, this machine is perfect at doing its job, the descaling and cleaning disc provided takes care of the machine for you. All you need to do is choose from the many T disc drink options you prefer, top up the water container on the back and your ready to go. Waste of money.
