Great camera with a few small issues
Camera was very funky at first, screwing up images when in the printer and wouldn't print all the way through, though I believe this to be because I got a package of expired Polaroid film. When putting in the second package of non Polaroid film the camera worked wonderfully and is a delight to use! Also arrived super quick which I appreciate. Good Point and Shoot, Don't Expect A Lot
I got this for my mother who isn't very tech-savvy. Good for a fun and easy camera, don't expect great quality. Price is OK, has the ability to use a sim card or print photos which is a nice plus when you run out of film. Pros: -Simple once you figure it out. -Decent photo quality even though the photos are only 2x3. -Extra photo settings make it fun (borders, black and white, etc) Cons: -no instructions in box, had to google for Info. -took several practice photos to figure out how long to hold camera steady for a good photo. -Film only comes in packs of ten and around $8 a pack.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

A decent novelty camera

Great for all responsible ages
Dont expect the anymore than what a 10 megapixel can provide, although the the clarity did shock me at first, I was pleasantly surprised. The picture film sells seperate so be ready to pay for that. The loading directions are easy to follow. Use of the camera is easy. Only con is when carrying the camera in your purse you may notice how easy a small tap may open the pop up top to the camera. Cute, but...
This was a great value as it came with two packs of paper, but this was an impulse buy. Using the viewfinder is difficult because I wer glasses, so what I see and what I print is different. The image quality is slightly lacking for a 10px camera, but the instant technology could be the cause of that. Polaroid Snap Review
I think this is a great camera to practice photo taking. And it is fascinating to see how, the combination of skill and luck makes every photo turn out. Obviously reminiscent of the '70s and '80s and so on versions of the Polaroid instant camera. Viewfinder does not line up with the aperture as well as past renditions of the Polaroid instant camera. Be weary when "lining up" shots. You may have to lift or lower the camera relative to how something appears to be in the viewfinder. Directing the camera and facing it up-close to, and from the center of any subject and moving backwards until an acceptable field of view is achieved is your best bet at taking personal shots. More grandiose images, for example; the grand canyon, lake Erie, whatever; needs finessing. No user's manual. Film is relatively cheap. Battery charge time is not clear nor defined anywhere. Inserting film into the back of the camera is easy. Just open a pack of 10 film, unlatch the cartridge door and place the blue barcode card face down. The first shot taken will allow the blue card to adjust the film pack first. Then the actual photo will follow. When no film is available, a sim card slot is located on the side of the camera. Which can be used with an up to 32 GB sim card to store images with the digital portion of the device. Overall, this is an easy to use device that, should not be purchased unless you are into "experimental" photo taking. It can also be utilized for newcomers to photo taking. Love this camera!
I am lazy when it comes to pictures. I don't want to have to buy special printers and special printer paper and know that it just wont be as good as sending it in to get them printed. Sending them in takes too long as well and is usually more expensive then I care to toss out. This camera solves all my picture problems. I have the spendy digital camera for "important" pictures and I have this one for every day pictures. The pics are small enough to stick into my wallet or make a collage or just tape into my journal and call it good! They come out quickly enough that my kids can enjoy the pictures too! The only issue is the view finder is hard to use so often I have to take more then one pic to recenter it. This is irritating as getting used to it can take 4 or 5 pics just to get one decent one. Still, after I got past figuring that issue out it has just been loads of fun. The items came exactly as they were described, however, the snap camera was missing the photo paper that should have came with it. The ad mentioned that this item was opened and unused, so i assume the original owner purchased the unit and just took the photo paper. Very little shutter lag!
I am not a professional photographer or any where close. I take shots of kids and pets etc. I have been disappointed with digital cameras since I picked up the first one. The number one issue for me is you can't see the screen out side next you see the perfect shot ,click the button and weight. In the meantime the kid or pet has moved on and you get a high quality pic of an empty room. That is called "shutter lag". The cause of this is that a digital camera has a lot to do in order to take a pic and the more advanced the camera the worse it gets. The only solution is to buy a $600+ dollar camera that is designed to compensate for the lag. Now the Polaroid snap has solved my problems. First it takes a decent picture ,not photo studio quality but good for the family. Then no screen, it has an old school view finder. As it is very simple it has very little to do therefore almost no shutter lag. The best little instant pictures are just a bonus for me.
