Excellent amp from Teac Reference Series circa 2005. Massive toroidal power supply generates a decent 50 watts into 8 ohm speakers. Each channel has its own discrete amp circuit. Hence dual mono description. Quite rare at this price point. Excellent phono stage but the icing on the cake is the headphone output. This really sings on vinyl. Better than the Audiolab 8000A. Pick up a good one and you’ll be grinning ear to ear!

A very good sounding amplifier that was easy to set up. A good match for my small but quality speakers. Seller was good too.

Good old fashioned sound. This one is in excellent condition and everything works as it should. The huge remote covers everything in the system from Cd to turntable, search etc but in the event on only needing to use the amp bit something like 80% of the remote is not used. Sound is controllable and good with the base and treble controls being pretty sensitive. Beware - the volume comes on at the same volume as it was turned off at and can be a bit of a shock if it was loud at turn off.

It’s beautifully made, gorgeous to look at and punches well above its weight in sound quality and power. It’s crisp and punchy when needed, but also smooth and revealing. I prefer it to my old Naim Nait.5i, and considering the price difference it has to be considered an utter Bargain of an amplifier. I love it.

I have just bought a second one for the bedroom as it that good. The sound stage and clarity is simply stunning and the the vintage look makes it the perfect amp. The knobs and dials all feel like their military grade. Hook it up to decent speakers then sit back and enjoy.

Nice sounding amplifier, not really vintage, but very nice sound and a solid construction. Well worth it if you can find one at a good price, especially if you need an affordable amp with phono (vinyl cartridge input.

Fantastic amplifier full bodied sound, excelled tight bass response, beautiful soundstage and lightening fast transients! Fantastic build quality! A wolf in sheep's clothing! Knocks spots off some amplifiers costing three times as much! Find a looked after one of these and it will probably be the last amp you buy.

Seriously high quality vintage amp, incredibly well designed with a timeless design that will never not be cool. this thing Plays notes you can’t even hear on other systems. And in my opinion beats the sound quality and value for money by far on the modern systems I’ve tested. Seriously hard to match even with today’s technology A TEAC 500 series separates system will not disappoint by any measures. 10/10

I recently bought my son a Teac A-H500 and when it arrived I had to try it out and it certainly lived up to the reviews I had read, and it left my Cyrus 2 with psu somewhat lacking, to my ears (maybe because I've had it for decades) so I decided to get myself one and managed to pick up a very nice A-H500i and it is such a well built and excellent sounding amp, I find the phono stage to be very good, and the built in headphone amp is a real bonus.
